Every year we invite those who have lost someone to a special tree planting ceremony, which happens on the western side of the Railway Reserve in Stoke. Those bereaved have the opportunity to plant a tree in memorial of those they have lost.

The planted tree is a symbol of that person’s life and legacy, something tangible that friends, family and loved ones can return to and remember. It is a real commitment to the people that have gone, as well as something positive for the environment.

Marsden House provide the trees and NCC have provided the land. Afterwards people are invited to an afternoon tea hosted by Marsden House. The tree planting ceremony for the year typically happens the following July.
